a fresh feel for the european fishing tackle trade association
Feb 24, 2016
EFTTA’s previous website was built in 2001 and was in serious need of a refresh.
As an international association, EFTTA needed a site that reflected their goal to support the fishing tackle trade association to promote fishing, international business and environmental issues worldwide.
As well as a new, modern look, EFTTA wanted a site that was easy to manage and update internally.
With a complicated brief and a tight deadline, our team was definitely up to the challenge.
As EFTTA’s site last had a redesign 15 years prior, it was in great need of some creative TLC. Having only basic brand guidelines, our designers were given freedom to create a stunning, bold look and feel.
Simplifying the structure
Since the site launch in 2001, the EFTTA team had never taken a step back to review the site content or structure. As they have multiple stakeholders accessing the site, our team ran workshops with EFTTA to ensure that all site visitors could quickly find the relevant information. From these sessions we were able to prioritise site content and map out key user journeys.
The new site was built using Umbraco, an open source CMS, which allowed complete flexibility when developing the site. With it’s simple, user-friendly interface, the EFTTA team now have the ability to update the site content whenever they need.
The EFTTA team were really happy with the work that our design and dev team did to get their website up and running. They even brought in a giant box of chocolates to say thanks!
