To produce a new corporate video to celebrate the values and vision of SEGRO – provider of flexible business space to retail, office and manufacturing businesses, in the UK & continental Europe.
SEGRO commissioned MEDIAmaker to create a corporate video to motivate and communicate the company direction and vision, as well as bring to life the breadth and wealth of the SEGRO portfolio.
SEGRO wanted something really creative and innovative with real impact and to engage with audiences across the business.
The video was to be shown initially to senior managers at the annual Leadership Conference with a secondary audience of investors, customers, suppliers and other external stakeholder groups with an interest in the company. The video was also to be streamed on the SEGRO website.

For the shoot: 8 actors – 6 crew - 2 cameras – 1 camera crane - fantastic locations – perfect weather – and a trip to Paris!
Our solution was to create shots to make a visually connected storyline using the fantastic spaces and stunning designs of SEGRO’s buildings in the UK, and business and retail premises in Paris. By choreographing people into these shots we created the visuals which formed the foundation of what we were to produce in post-production.
To add dynamics and pace to the shots we used a camera with a Jimmy Jib rig which allowed us to expand and develop shots with a different perspective. We carefully storyboarded the moving shots so that in the edit suite we could incorporate the company values as text statements within the moving camera shots.
In post production we composited the text statements into the shots. These text statements became part of a building suspended in mid-air or part of a landscape.
We even included a special effects shot where the camera tracked from inside a building seamlessly to the outside of the building.
With some last minute changes to the company logo – we composited new logos onto a moving van and onto a surveyor’s high viz! These fixes were to become invisible to the audience.
The resulting video was extremely well received and the client was delighted with the visual design together with delivery. The video went on to be played at many meetings across UK and Europe and took up residence on the company homepage.
